Organize a Tan-free Grad for your school. Committing to organize and lead a Tan-free Grad in your school is a great way to fight cancer and make a difference in your school community. A Tan-free Grad is a great experience for any school. Students become engaged and active in a campaign that promotes teamwork, healthy living and having fun.
I am very pleased and proud to say that five Newfoundland and Labrador high schools are now registered to participate in our first-ever Province-wide Tan-free Graduation Challenge. This school year, for the very first time ever, every graduating high school student in this province has the opportunity to sign a pledge to do the right thing for their skin, and promise not to tan in preparation for their grad. It is so simple to do. Just ask your teachers, or contact the local office of the Canadian Cancer Society in Newfoundland and Labrador, and find out how to get the materials and information. Leave us a comment here and tell us what you think.
